Moving trunk line 550 onto rails will allow us to transport a growing number of passengers
in the future. The line has almost 40,000 passengers every day, and during peak hours, the buses are often delayed. A Jokeri Light Rail car has room for three times as many passengers as a large multi-axle bus. Jokeri Light Rail will also improve the reliability and service level of cross-sectional public transport. It will also contribute to the construction of new apartments and services along the light rail route.
